Councelling

A gentle approach to healing

I know reaching out for counselling can feel scary. It takes courage to admit you’re struggling, and even more courage to talk about it. If you’re here reading this, you’ve already taken a brave step — and I want you to know that it matters. Life can become overwhelming when stress, grief, relationship struggles, or old emotional wounds finally catch up with you. Counselling gives you a safe, understanding space where you don’t have to pretend you’re fine. You can talk openly, be honest about how you feel, and not be judged for any of it. My approach is warm, steady, and very human — I meet you where you are, and we go at your pace, never faster than you’re ready for.

Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, trauma, feeling stuck, or simply needing clarity, we’ll work together to help you find balance, rebuild confidence and feel more like you again. Each session focuses on helping you understand yourself, gently release what’s been weighing you down, and reconnect with your own inner strength.

Sometimes just one session is enough to help you work through a specific situation, get perspective or find the clarity you’ve been searching for. And if you need longer-term support, we can take things slowly and steadily, one step at a time.

You’ll never be rushed, pushed or pressured. Just supported — with compassion, honesty and the kind of understanding that comes from both training and lived experience.

You don’t have to do this alone.

Hypnotherapy

A gentle, focused way to create change from within

I know that when you’re struggling, your mind can feel noisy, tangled or stuck in old patterns that you can’t seem to break. Hypnotherapy offers a calm, focused space to quiet everything down so you can finally hear yourself again. It’s a gentle process that helps your mind and body work together instead of pulling you in different directions.

Hypnosis isn’t sleep and it isn’t control — it’s simply a deeply relaxed, comfortable state where your mind becomes more open to new ideas, insights and healthier ways of responding. You stay fully aware and in control the whole time; I’m just guiding you, gently and safely, through the process.

It might surprise you, but you already go into hypnosis every single day — when you’re lost in thought, daydreaming, driving on “autopilot,” or fully absorbed in a TV show. Hypnotherapy is just a focused version of that natural state.

It’s nothing like stage hypnosis, and you will never be made to do or say anything you don’t want to. You’re always in control.

Many clients tell me hypnotherapy feels like a release — like letting go of tension you didn’t even know you were carrying. In that calmer space, things that once felt overwhelming start to soften, and shifts naturally begin to happen.

Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, stress, confidence struggles, old habits or feeling stuck in a particular situation, hypnotherapy can help you move forward in a way that feels natural, manageable and empowering.

Which Approach Is Right for Me?

You don’t have to know that yet — that’s my job to help you figure out.

Some people come to me wanting counselling.

Some come wanting hypnotherapy.

And many aren’t sure what they need… they just know they can’t keep feeling the way they’re feeling.

That’s completely okay.

In our free initial consultation, we’ll talk about what you’re struggling with, what you want to change, and what feels manageable for you right now. From there, I’ll gently guide you toward the approach that best supports you, counselling, hypnotherapy, or a blend of both. Remember you are always in control, and we can be as flexible as you need to be.

Here’s a simple way to think about it:

Counselling may be right for you if you want to…

  • Talk things through and feel heard
  • Understand your emotions and patterns
  • Explore past experiences that shaped you
  • Make sense of confusion, overwhelm or feeling stuck
  • Build confidence, boundaries or self-worth
  • Have a safe space to be fully yourself

Hypnotherapy may be right for you if you want to…

  • Calm a busy, anxious mind
  • Release old habits, fears or emotional reactions
  • Feel more in control of your thoughts and body
  • Build confidence from the inside out
  • Shift patterns that feel “stuck”
  • Create change in a gentle, focused way

Psychology Facts

Understanding how the mind works can make your healing journey feel less confusing and far more compassionate. These small but powerful truths can help you make sense of your emotions, your reactions and the way you move through the world.

  1. Your brain believes the stories you repeat — change the story, and you change the feeling.
  2. Most people aren’t afraid of change — they’re afraid of being judged for changing.
  3. Avoiding a difficult emotion makes it louder. Facing it helps it soften.
  4. Feeling stuck is often a signal, not a failure. Something in your life may need care or attention.
  5. Calm doesn’t mean life is quiet. It’s the ability to return to yourself when things feel overwhelming.
  6. Your nervous system remembers what you’ve forgotten. This is why healing and regulation matter.
  7. Growing up with criticism can make compliments uncomfortable — not because you’re unworthy, but because they feel unfamiliar.
  8. You don’t need to feel ready to move forward — just safe enough to start.
  9. Your body reacts to stress before your mind catches up. Early signs are worth listening to.
  10. Healing doesn’t erase the past — it simply stops it from controlling your present.

Frequently asked questions

We understand that reaching out for support can raise questions. Here are some answers to help you understand who we work with, what we offer, and how our services can help you feel calmer, more confident, and in control.

  • Who do we work with?

We support adults, teenagers, and young people who are looking for a safe, understanding space to explore their thoughts, emotions, or challenges.

Whether someone is seeking support for the first time or returning to therapy after a break, the approach is always warm, respectful, and tailored to their individual needs.

  • What problems do we work with?

Our services support challenges such as anxiety, stress, grief, low confidence, relationship issues, trauma, unwanted habits, and emotional blocks.

  • What is the difference between counselling and hypnotherapy?

Counselling provides a safe space to explore thoughts, feelings, and experiences with guidance and support.

Hypnotherapy works with your subconscious mind to release patterns, build motivation, and create positive change.

  • How many sessions will I need?

The number of sessions varies depending on your goals and needs. Some people see results in a few sessions, while others benefit from ongoing support.

  • What can I expect in a session?
